BT Conferencing was instrumental in the success of an environmental conference held in the UK on May 1. Hosted by Prince Charles of Wales, the May Day Business Summit on Climate Change connected ten simultaneous locations via video conferencing. The technology partner for the event, British Telecom, used BT Conferencing’s comprehensive approach to video conferencing to create a seamless event for VIP guests. BT Conferencing Project Managers provided a detailed project plan as well as management oversight of the implementation.
The Q&A video conferences were produced by BT Conferencing’s Event Management team and included key staff at every location. From the data transmission to the audio/video arrangements, every part of the process flowed perfectly. Attending members of the summit remarked on how wonderful the technology was and how video conferencing could be used to accomplish many of the items discussed by the Prince, especially reduction in travel needs.
