Remote Equipment Monitoring Adds Enhanced Capabilities
BT Conferencing’s Remote Equipment Monitoring (REM) service supports video conferencing equipment of the top manufacturers in the industry. We are pleased to announce that the following endpoints have been added to the existing list of products supported by REM.
New items added to the REM supported list of products:
- Sony PCSTL50
- Sone PCS1
- Sony PCS11
- LifeSize HD Codec
REM proactively monitors video conferencing elements. This monitoring is done via the BT Conferencing Onward platform, and provides stability and uptime for the video conferencing infrastructure. REM determines when devices become inoperable or unavailable. Devices that can be monitored include
- Endpoints
- Routers (router interface only)
- Gatekeepers
- Gateways
- Select MCUs

There are several key components within BT Conferencing’s REM service, such as configurable alerts, automatic trouble ticket creation and proactive customer notifications. We will ensure that the video conferencing system is available when it is needed, so that users can remain focused on content of their meetings.
