BT Conferencing now brings the power of our engageSuite to customers managing their own bridge, through engageMeeting Manager.

engageMeeting Manager is a web-based application that allows the customer to schedule, launch, monitor, and control multipoint video conferences from a desktop computer. Users interact with the system with a simple Internet browser. Behind the scenes, Wire One’s systems take the data input by the user, and automatically load the video conference to a customer owned MCU. At the starting time of the video conference, the system launches the meeting without operator involvement. At this point, the user may monitor the conference status and connect/disconnect sites via the Web.

Automated conference launch is available for the most common video conference features:

• Up to 12 video sites
  • Dial-in (ISDN only)
  • Dial-out (IP/ISDN)
• Up to six dial-in audio lines
• Transcoding
• Up to 384 transmission rate
• Configurable setup time, CP modes, end-warning tones, conference extension

Disaster Recovery

Maybe you’ve just driven adoption to the point where your MCU is full and you need overflow? engageMeeting Manager lays the foundation for disaster recovery and overflow protection. Because we store the customer’s site data within our Onward database, we can quickly load a call to a BT Conferencing MCU in the case of an emergency or in the case of resource constraints. Our system allows for bridge pooling for overflow, so the customer’s conference can seamlessly move from a primary on-premise MCU to a secondary on-premise MCU. Network design that takes disaster recovery into account is important for any contingency scenario and BT Conferencing offers consultation to help our customer’s make the most of their assets.

Integration with Online Reporting and REM
BT Conferencing already offers an expansive set of online reports as a standard benefit to our customers. Now, there is even more integration with engageMeeting Manager. From the web interface, users can run site directory reports, conference activity reports, Daily Video Schedule reports, and MCU Utilization reports. The ability to download usage data into Excel for bill-back of conferencing minutes to internal departments is provided.

engageMeeting Manager also provides direct integration with Remote Equipment Monitoring. The status of monitored endpoints displays right in the engageMeeting Manager control panel. This feature is especially valuable for on-demand calls where the immediate status of the endpoint needs to be known.
