The VUE users group sponsors bi-monthly online Educational Forums aimed at offering videoconferencing users and managers a forum to meet, network, and learn about the latest developments in the industry. Over 200 VUE members participated in the May Educational Forum, which explored a topic that’s attracting a lot of attention nowadays: IP versus Converged Networks. The Forum featured presentations from two experts in the field, Wire One’s Vice President of Global Service Operations, Eric Adelman, and John Hawkins, Wire One Senior Systems Engineer, who covered a range of issues including security technologies and H.264. The presentations also discussed common problems and solutions for each type of network such as video and audio quality and interoperability challenges. The presentations were followed by a Q&A period where participants were able to email or ask questions of the speakers. The participants were then polled for the topic of the next form. VUE President Kevin Kaiser also gave a brief update on the VUE users group. Visit the VUE website at www.thevue.org to access a copy of the webcast, to review the presentations or to learn more about upcoming topics. |
