Dan Connors, Chief Executive Officer
Appointed Chief Executive Officer at Wire One Communications, Inc. in February, 2007, Dan has a long and successful history in executive leadership roles.
Prior to joining Wire One, Dan was FedEx Kinko’s Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer. He joined Kinko’s in 2001 as Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy. He was responsible for the leadership of a number of Kinko’s organizations, including the strategy, information technology, legal, purchasing, asset management, pricing and distribution services functions. In his strategy capacity, he was responsible for formulating and communicating the company’s strategies to its various constituents and for measuring results against those strategies. Additionally, Dan served as Chairman of Kinko’s Investment Committee, responsible for budgeting and monitoring all of the company’s capital expenditures. Dan was also responsible for the organization which built and maintained Kinko’s corporate technology infrastructure, including the company’s network of 1,200 digitally-connected locations. Leadership of Kinko’s legal, product management/development, asset management, pricing and distribution services departments rounded out Mr. Connors’ areas of responsibility.
Prior to joining Kinko’s, Mr. Connors was Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy with HQ Global Workplaces, the worldwide solutions and business services leader. Previously, he was with Bain & Company, an international management consulting firm. While at Bain, he advised a number of firms on strategic and operational issues such as growth strategies, operational streamlining, mergers and acquisitions, industry consolidations, new product introductions, and organizational re-design. Prior to his work at Bain, he served as Deputy General Counsel of Wang Laboratories in Bethesda, Maryland, and was a Senior Associate at Crowell & Moring, a large law firm in Washington, D.C. He started his career as an Air Force Captain and attorney in the Air Force General Counsel’s Office in the Pentagon. He obtained that position by being the only Air Force officer selected to serve in the Pentagon Honors Program in 1984.
Dan holds law degrees from Georgetown University (LL.M.) and The Ohio State University (J.D.), and an MBA from The Wharton School. He earned an undergraduate degree in finance from the University of Notre Dame.
Leo Flotron serves as the President of Wire One Communications, Inc. Leo has a long and successful history in the video conferencing industry. From 1988 to 1995, he held numerous positions with Sony Electronics, Inc., most recently as Manager of Video conferencing. In 1995, Leo became Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Video conferencing Products at All Communications Corporation, a small telephone system reseller. Under his management, the division grew to more than $100 million in revenue and became the leading video conferencing integrator in the industry and began doing business under the name of Wire One Technology. Leo holds a B.S. in Business from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and an M.S. in Finance from Louisiana State University.
Kent Stemper, Chief Financial Officer
Kent Stemper was appointed as Chief Financial Officer for Wire One Communications, Inc. in September, 2007. Prior to joining Wire One Communications, Kent was Treasurer for Myogen, Inc. As Treasurer, he was responsible for all financial planning and treasury activities. While at Myogen, he was involved with negotiating and concluding business development activities, including product license agreements and Myogen’s merger with Gilead Sciences, Inc. Prior to Myogen, Kent was at Amgen, Inc. and had responsibility for financial planning and reporting for Amgen’s worldwide manufacturing operations. Previously, he was Vice President of Finance with Baxter International, Inc. Over a period of 13 years at Baxter, Kent worked with all of Baxter’s major business units in Chicago, Tokyo and Los Angeles. Kent started his career as a CPA and was a Senior Manager in the Audit function at Deloitte & Touche. He holds an MBA from Northwestern University and an undergraduate degree in accounting from Colorado State University.
Jeff Prestel, SVP Sales
Jeff Prestel is the Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales for Wire One Communications, Inc. He leads the industry’s largest sales team responsible for creating video conferencing solutions in the United States and Europe. At Wire One, Jeff has successfully developed deeper and stronger relationships with key technology partners, and implemented improved sales processes to profitably grow revenue. Prior to Wire One, Jeff was employed at NCR Corporation, where he began his career in 1989 following two years of service with IBM. At NCR he held various management positions both in the United States and globally. He was appointed to Vice President of Worldwide Alliances in 2002 and held that position until he joined Wire One in February of 2004. Jeff holds a Master of Business Administration from The Ohio State University.
Bob Seidel, VP Marketing
Bob Seidel, Vice President of Worldwide Marketing for Wire One Communications, drives planning, creation, and development of all global marketing strategies and initiatives for the company. With a focus on delivering the Wire One story and value proposition specific to target markets, Bob leads the Product Marketing, Marketing Communications and Outbound Marketing teams. Bob's extensive range of experience includes leading sales and marketing organizations for over 20 years in the video conferencing industry. While Director of Sales for system integration and services at Peirce Phelps, Bob pioneered standardized system integration, coupled with services offerings, that was a driving force in leading many Fortune 500 corporations to adopt video conferencing solutions. As Director of Services Product Marketing for VTEL, he developed many of the vertical market systems and services that achieved major success for the company in the distance learning and healthcare markets. After being appointed as Vice President of Marketing for VTEL, he oversaw the transition of the company from a technology manufacturer to a services and software company later known as Forgent. Bob lead both the marketing and sales organizations at Forgent and was instrumental in developing an enterprise-based scheduling and call automation product for the video conferencing industry. Bob holds a B.S. in Education and a graduate degree in Educational Media from Temple University.
Mike Reetz, VP of Technology
Mike Reetz leads the Technology, Infrastructure, and Software teams at Wire One Communications, Inc. He brings over 15 years experience in the conferencing technology industry to Wire One with over ten years experience at the company. He is responsible for leading the teams that support IP and telco networks, bridging and conferencing infrastructure, the internal and external computing infrastructure and software development efforts at the company. At Wire One, Mike was the first Software Developer and Systems Architect for the Onward and engage systems that provide the foundation for all information systems within Wire One, as well as delivery of world class conferencing services to Wire One's customers. Mike has led various technology teams supporting the IP and telco network infrastructure, bridging infrastructure, and computing and database infrastructure for the company. Prior to coming to Wire One, Mike was the Systems Operations Manager at UCAR (University Corporation for Atmospheric Research), where he was responsible for the compute and network infrastructure for that organization. Previous to that, Mike was a Software Engineer at ConferTech, where he developed portions of the audio conferencing reservations systems still in use at that company. Mike holds a B.A in Computer Science and English Literature from the University of Colorado.
Nigel Stobart, Chief Operating Officer
Nigel Stobart joined Wire One Communications, Inc. in January 2006 and currently has responsibility for Product Operations and Human Resources. Nigel began his career as a lawyer in Melbourne, Australia, with a focus on commercial litigation, and later moved to London, England where his practice focused on transactional banking. Nigel worked as a management consultant at Bain & Co on clients in such diverse industries as retail, consumer goods and fiber optics. Most recently, Nigel was the Senior Director of Sales Operations for the Professional Business group at Gateway, Inc where he led the Forecasting, Order Entry and Sales Associate teams. While in this role, he led the successful re-organization of the Order Entry process and the re-integration of the Sales Associate team into the Professional Business Unit. Nigel holds a Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Laws from Monash University in Australia and a Master of Business Administration (with Honors) from the University of Chicago.
